*LEMSIP is an acronym, and nothing whatsoever to do with Reckitt & Colman Products Ltd.
As we have stated, LEMSIP - in terms of the Soc at LUU - was an acronym. Unfortunately, we weren't quite sure what it stood for. Something along the lines of Leeds Extremely Mutated Sense of the InaPpropriate may do... but we aren't sure. Ah well, such is life.
It really was a one-joke thing, to be honest, although there were some amusing things that came out of it including fliers for "Leeds University's Annual Reindeer Hunt" and "Boycott Santa!!" and some joke entries for the 1996 Exec elections - although we can`t claim credit for the Goat, I`m afraid - and the odd T-shirt or two, courtesy of Drew. Come to think about it, Drew did the fliers mentioned above, as well...
Anyway, all things being equal, it was pretty funny at the time.
